CONCERT 1
NATE LEYLAND

Saturday, October 1, 7:00 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church

 

We are thrilled to open our concert year with Nate Leyland and Friends!  Mr. Nate Leyland is widely acclaimed as one of the finest cello players in North Carolina.  He currently serves as the first chair and principal cellist of the Des Moines Symphony, the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra, the Fayetteville Symphony and the Tar River Symphony. 

 

On this evening, Mr. Leyland will be joined by his sensational string ensemble to open our season.  This internationally acclaimed chamber group will play their favorite hits from the classical repertoire.  A big fan of our resident composer, Sophia, Mr. Leyland will also feature some of his now standard recital pieces by our own international star.  Join us to start the year off in high style with this exceptional performance!

 

CONCERT 2
 CHRISTMAS WITH THE CHANDLEYS

Saturday, December 3, 8:00 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church

 

Come join Paul and Sophia for an evening that is now a long standing Christmas family tradition.  Everyone will see the world filled with just “a little bit of magic” when we all gather under the Christmas tree with Christmas music filling the night air.  Come be with us to celebrate the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior with classical Christmas favorites from Bach to Tchaikovsky.  Join us for a Christmas celebration that you and your children will not soon forget.  We guarantee that this night would even put old Scrooge in the Christmas spirit!

Why fly to New York when you can have a sensational Night at the Opera and On Broadway here in Troy?!  Some of the best singers in North and South Carolina today will sing their favorite hits from the classical opera and Broadway repertoires.  Hit after hit after hit.   Hear it all in great acoustics on one night in one place.  Planned are TMA favorites Dan and Stephanie Stein, Jeff Gwaltney, Jason McKinney, Joel and Heidi Vega, and many others.  Our planned grand finale includes the always mesmerizing voice of Metropolitan Opera star, John Fowler.

 

 

CONCERT 4
DINNER CONCERT, THE RALEIGH CHAMBER ORCHESTRA

Saturday, April 21, Dinner 6:30 pm, Concert 7:30 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church

 

All your favorites are here for the asking!  Vivaldi’s Seasons, Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, and Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 5 are featured along with Paul and Sophia playing Bach’s Concerto for 2 Pianos and Orchestra.  This is our way of saying “thank you” for all the support that you have given our students.  Come for a great concert where YOU are the star!

 

 

 

 

BONUS CONCERT 1
THE MOORE COUNTY PHILHARMONIC

Sunday, May 20, 3:00 pm, Trinity United Methodist Church

 

Expect Moore!  Join Director Eric Kopecki and the Moore County Philharmonic for an afternoon of great music.  We are delighted to be once again hosting this lively and energetic symphony orchestra.  Expect an afternoon with a wide variety of styles – Beethoven to Mancini and romantic strings to the samba!  Also, a concerto with Sophia at the piano is scheduled.  This will be a fun filled afternoon with a little something for everyone! 

 

 

                              BONUS CONCERT 2

THE TRINITY MUSIC ACADEMY ORCHESTRA

Check with the Academy for a final date and time for our very own Trinity Music Academy Orchestra concert during the last week of student recitals.  Now 48 members strong, the TMA Orchestra boasts full standard string, woodwind, brass, and percussion sections along with oboe, bassoon, French horn, and harp.  Our Orchestra has now moved up to being a semi-professional group playing a wide range of music.  Bring your friends; bring the kids; bring everybody for a concert that is as much a “get together” as it is a concert!
